A startup incubated at IIT Mandi has developed an artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled yoga mat named โYogiFiโ.
It is an innovative smart yoga mat, supported by the Technology Innovation Hub (TIH) at IIT Mandi under the NM-ICPS program of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), and was presented to the Union Council of Ministers on International Yoga Day.
YogiFi is equipped with a built-in innovative sensor layer that tracks the postures of yoga performers and offers real-time suggestions to help correct their posture.
The capability leverages AI and Computer Vision (CV) technologies, promising to enhance the at-home yoga experience significantly.

YogiFi is a fully Indigenous product, developed by Wellnesys Technologies Private Ltd, and has been recognized by the Ministry of AYUSH.
The smart mat works seamlessly with other smart devices at home to create the ideal environment for yoga practice.
The AI-enabled yoga mat was presented to various Union Ministers, including:
- External Affairs Minister – S. Jaishankar
- Railways, I&B and IT Minister – Ashwini Vaishnaw
- Finance Minister – Nirmala Sitharaman
Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology, highlighted the mat’s potential to revolutionize personal yoga coaching.
